Dentistry

85% of pets may require dental procedures routinely. Because pets cannot care for their teeth the way we do, they rely on us to do that for them. Good dental care and ultrasonic scaling and polishing can prevent problems before they occur, providing better health and comfort for our pets. Just like in humans, regular dental checks are essential. WE offer Free Dental Checks.

What causes dental disease in our pets?

Plaque forms when bacteria, food particles and salivary minerals build up on their teeth. Plaque calcifies to form tartar on the teeth and under the gum line and leads to gum disease or gingivitis. Left untreated, the tartar will lead to worsening of the gingivitis, bad breath, tooth and bone infection, dental abscesses and tooth loss. Dental disease can also lead to heart, lung, kidney and liver disease.
